S' Wonderful, S' Marvelous
Yeah, so the episode was urgh...fan-frakking-tastic!! There needs to be no introduction...so I'm not giving one.
Chris:
It begins and ends with Christopher...always has, always will in my personal opinion. He's rejected at the door only to be let in at the end of the episode, which I have to tell you that it thrills me beyond happiness, not that I wasn't happy for them just dating. He was certainly looking fine and yummy with his shirt on. The whole time during the episode I was cringing with ecstacy at the chemistry that David brings to the show and draws out of Lauren. God, they were on fire last night. Plus, his romantic gesture was brillant, even if I expected a little more surprise. And at the end of the episode, Chris made me melt all over again. His reaction to Lorelai's "nice" response and giddiness over Emily's jail time was well played. He felt second place. I get that and felt that maybe Lorelai was putting him second place. But all was washed away when she told him he wasn't. The trip to the jail was just "the cherry on top," "the mint on the pillow."
Lorelai-Extra Happy:
Well, they did give Lorelai a very nice episode. She kicked dialogue in all the scenes she played in and took charge of the repetitive quips..."snakes on a plane" and "is this/that the surprise." It made the episode highly enjoyable. It was the first in a long time that made me extra happy. Plus, I love how the writers have always added in the opinions of what's happening in this season. Like in last night's episode, Sookie was the voice of the people. Sookie gave Lorelai the left hook about her dating Chris. Chris is no rebound, no bouncing ball. He's a bowling ball, the father of her kid. And with Sookie dishing out this dialogue, I feel very happy and confident that the road Lorelai will take this season will be one far different from any she has taken in the past, especially with Chris. There is something substantial here, and I can't wait to see were it's going.
Side Notes:
* Loved that Casablanca was mentioned. It's one of my favorites.
* Rory was in her element this episode. She had no boy to toy with, except at the end where she brushed him off...yahoo!
* Rory's friends were...ummm...okay. The actress who formerly played Gia Goodman on Veronica Mars was the only one holding me back from Rory making new friends. She's like the voice of Janice from Friends...and who wants that?
* Emily in jail. Priceless!
* I just knew that Lorelai would be taking pictures, when she picked Emily up from jail. I was giggling the whole time. It was definitely a night...or episode I'll never forget.
* I'm still waiting to see what will happen to Richard. At the moment, his role is minor and seems to be going no where, which means that the shoe's about to drop.
* Luke and April were cute together, though the whole "setup" was getting annoying.
Favorite Quote/Moment:
Chris's line to Lorelai when she asks if buckling the seatbelt is the surprise -- Yep. That's the surprise. Date's over.
Next Week: Things look juicy. Guess my dum-dum-da-dum spoiler post might be on target!
P.S. Sorry for the short post. School work. It stinks.

I am a huge Gilmore Fan, and I did love last night with the date. I just do not want her with Christopher, I want her back with Luke, unfortunately, he has resigned to the fact he will not have her or doesn't deserve her. It will be quite interesting to see how it all plays out.
I do miss Logan and was very excited to see Paris back in fine form as always..

Hi paula. Nice to have you. And yes, I'm a huge GG fan myself. I however DO want Lorelai and Chris together. I want to see them get their chance, instead of wondering what might have been. As for Luke's resignation, he deserves to find himself without Lorelai. Somehow or some way, she's always been there, and I'm glad to see that he's living life different for a change.
I'm not a GG Logan fan, not to be confused...I'm definitely a VM Logan fan. However, I must admit that I'd rather take him over her new art friends.

I'm torn between the two of you...Rudy and Paula. I used to desperately want her with Luke. But things have happened now that I'm confused. Christopher is looking so great, which Rudy has pointed out often, and he seems to be exactly what the doctor ordered to get things back the way they were without the Gilmore world revolving around the girls' boys. And that's because he knows Lorelai so well. Way better than Luke, which I'm sorry to admit. But it IS true. So for now, I'm just gonna swim with the storyline and not wish upon any star as to who I want her with, though the previews seem lead us toward one beau over the other.
Now, as for Logan. I think I'm ready for the storyline they have in mind for him and Rory. It is time for them to be apart and find their own lives.
Plus -- I AGREE WITH YOU RUDY. Rory's art friend Lucy (aka Gia Goodman from VM) played by Krysten Ritter is annoying. And what was with the dress? I'd should probably say long shirt, because if she bent over all of cleveland could have seen her bare bottom.

Yeah. Handcuffs would have made it a truly rememberable night. But Emily's bare-stockings walk was even better.

I am part of the Chis/Lor minority. They've always come thisclose and never got anything going. Here's the chance.
It sucks when they're just going to keep wondering.
Luke and Lor have a connection but I think theirs is more of bestfriend rather than hubby connection...

Yes. Yes. Yes. That's exactly it. Lorelai and Luke are best friends and they have the adorable chemistry, but they don't have the sexy chemistry that Chris and Lorelai have. And I personally don't think that Lorelai and Luke have true love...I think Lorelai and Christopher are meant to be...they are soul mates. So yeah. DS you spoke my mine!
