Fairwell

Just wanted to give a final shout out to the Gilmore girls. This past Tuesday (May 15th, 2007) the CW aired the last episode ever of GG. Some say that it didn't provide fans with enough closure, and yet other say that it ended well. To me, I'm with the latter. The show ended with the feeling that things will go on, even if the show doesn't. So fairwell to each Gilmore...daughter, mother, grandmother and grandfather. We will forever miss you!

BON VOYAGE!!!

Series Finale Description

Again, if you haven't heard, Gilmore Girls is officially cancelled. It's sad. Truly it is, and you can bet that tomorrow night I'll have my chocolate pudding and my box of kleenex to bid farewell to the dynamic duo in the last GG episode ever. With that said, I'm here to give you the lowdown on the episode, Bon Voyage!

According to The CW...

In Bon Voyage, "Just as Rory lands her dream job as a political reporter, Luke enlists the help of everyone in Stars Hollow to throw her a graduation party. Emily and Richard attend the huge party, where Rory makes a speech thanking Lorelai and the whole town for giving her such a great start in life.

Luke's thoughtfulness brings out an unexpected reaction from Lorelai. Finally, on the morning that Rory leaves Stars Hollow to start her career, Luke opens the diner before dawn to share a celebratory breakfast with the Gilmore girls.

CNN journalist Christiane Amanpour makes a cameo appearance as a guest at the Dragonfly Inn.

Melissa McCarthy, Keiko Agena, Yanic Truesdale and Sean Gunn also star. Lee Shallat Chemel directed the episode written by David Rosenthal."

You can visit The CW site for a last chance look at the Gilmore Girls official webpage before it's taken down. I don't know exactly when they'll pull the plug on the webpage, but have a look before it's too late. Also, you can visit the video page of The CW site to catch a glimpse at the preview clip for GG's last episode.

RoLo Marriage Proposal

In last week's episode, Unto the Breach, things were flying fast for the RoLo team. Not only did Logan propose (in a public place during Rory's grad party...which just took her thunder away), but Logan gave an ultimatum. What a pig, if you ask me. But I liked the end result. She couldn't say yes to his proposal, and why would she? He was totally being the season five dumb a## that I've never liked. I was really thinking that he'd changed this season. I mean I wasn't ecstatic about his plotline, but I wasn't ignoring his screen time either, which I think is a major accomplishment for me and a reward for Matt. Nevertheless, I'm sorry to say that I'm glad that things went sour for the rich blonde. Heck! I was even overly giddy about it. Best part, though. This development on the show enables the writers to send GG out the way it came...a front row episode on the golden Gilmore girls.

Sad News

Wow. I can't believe that I've forgotten to update the blog. I feel really bad. But what's worse is the news on Gilmore Girls. The show is not returning for another season. According to Spoilerfix.com, CW and WBTV released a joint statement noting the show's passing Thursday (May 3rd). "Announcing the final season of Gilmore Girls is truly a sad moment for everyone at The CW and Warner Bros. Television. This series helped define a network and created a fantastic, storybook world featuring some of television's most memorable, lovable characters."

Note: This means that GG will air its final episode on May 15, 2007.

7.17 Description

According to The CW...

In Gilmore Girls Only, "Lorelai plans a road trip to North Carolina to attend the wedding of Mia (guest star Kathy Baker), the woman who took in Lorelai and Rory and served as a surrogate mother/grandmother for many years. Rory has a fight with Logan over his immature reaction to his business disaster, and agrees to go on the trip with Lorelai. Emily invites herself along in an effort to get away from Richard, who is driving her crazy while he recuperates at home. At the wedding, Emily is upset by the close relationship Mia shares with Lorelai and Rory. Lorelai learns that Emily came to see Mia five years earlier to ask for pictures of Lorelai and Rory during the years they were estranged. Logan makes a surprise appearance and asks Rory to forgive him. Meanwhile, Lane and Zach ask Luke to be the godfather to their twins. Finally, Lane goes into labor and Luke helps get everyone to the hospital. Sean Gunn also stars."

Visit The CW website for you official GG load-down. And don't forget to check out the preview clip! Last I checked, there was only the director's cut up. Hopefully, they have the preview clip up by now.

Me and Him!

Yep. Me and him.

Me and Logan have the same birthday. My birthday was February 20th and Logan's birthday bash was in the February 20th episode, I’m A Kayak, Hear Me Roar. So happy belated birthday to me, and happy belated birthday to Logan. I realized it last week, actually. But I was too lazy or too tied up to get here to post it. :(

P.S. Don't think that I don't see the irony in this!

I Want To Want

Sorry all. I've been somewhat occupied over the last month with school and life in general, which has even made it difficult to catch GG on Tuesdays. And even though I haven't been watching every episode, I've kept my self up-to-date of the happenings in Stars Hollow. And this past Tuesday, I was able to catch part of 7.14: Farewell, My Pet. The best line of the night was definitely Lorelai's desperate plea to Chris: "I want you to know that you are the guy that I want to want." A satisfying response to help bring the Lorelai and Christopher relationship to a close, not that this is my wish. Heck! I want her to want him, too! But alas. This is definitely not the year where all my wants come true (The O.C. ending). I do, however, want you to know that I want to want GG and this blog to be successful and a priority for me. I'll try harder. I promise. But for now, adios!

Okay. Here are the spoiler pictures of season seven's eleventh episode Santa's Secret Stuff that I've been promising for a long while now. I apologize for the long wait. Anyway. The pictures are given as linked so that any who don't want a sneak peak doesn't have to get one.

Gilmore Promos

Hiya! I just wanted to drop off two promos that's been spreading across the CW screen for the Gilmore Girls return next Tuesday, January 23th. There is a general promotional clip, which I think is so cute (plus, I love the music), and a promotional clip for the returning episode Santa's Secret Stuff (yea, xmas).

Click here to view the general promo clip, and click here to view the promo clip for the fresh episode next Tuesday. Note that these promos are from youtube. When the CW release the clips on their site, I'll try to post ya to let ya know.

For now, toodles!

MM Pregnant

Yep. The news is filling the web. Melissa McCarthy (Sookie) is having her first baby. PEOPLE magazine exclusively released the news:
Gilmore Girls actress Melissa McCarthy is expecting her first child with actor hubby Ben Falcone. The baby is due in May. The couple wed in 2005. "We are so excited about the baby," McCarthy tells PEOPLE. "I’m hoping the baby has a lot of Ben’s calm traits and less of my spazzy ones."
Awwwwwwwah! That's so great. Congrats to the couple!

P.S. Thanks to DonutShop for the info.

LG Gives GG Interview

Hey all. On January 9th, Lauren Graham gave an interview to ComingSoon.net about Gilmore Girls during the promotion of her upcoming movie Because I Said So. Below is an piece of the interview, where Lauren responds to the idea of another season of GG.
"I don't know [if this will be the last season] because it has been expressed to me that they would like another season, but then there's nothing that's happened toward that. I'm not sure. I don't know what would make my decision clearer...There's so many elements and I'm not sure where to get started. I mean if I was 100% convinced that I would like to do another season I guess I could say that, but I don't know if I feel that way. I think Alexis [Bledel] feels mixed as well."
Sounds a little...end-y. I know that's not a word, but it's the feeling that I get when reading these lines and the rest of the interview. And from former news connected to Alexis, it has expressed that this job gets repetitive. A quality that makes Alexis feel tired. Plus, it takes away from what she would like to be doing -- movies. Also recall that Milo Ventimiglia (Alexis' ex-boyfriend) told the press Alexis didn't want to stay with GG for much longer. So be prepared all. It looks a little end-y.
