I've Been Stumped

I'll be the first to admit that Gilmore Girls has stumped me on more than one occassion. And the You've Been Gilmored episode awhile back had a very interesting stump for me. At first, I tried to ignore it, but as I rewatched the episode again from my recorded tape, I couldn't resist to expand my knowledge after I used the reference and was...let's say laughed at. Do you remember the moment at Paris's dingy apartment when she has dumped all of Rory's things out in the hall for betraying her at the paper? Paris says, "This chain is here for your protection! Krav Maga, baby. When my enemies approach I'm trained to pounce! Reflex." What bothered me (and still does) was the Krav Maga reference. I had no idea who it was. Yep, I thought it was a who. And oh, boy. I was so wrong, which is why I'm glad that I looked it up when I did because it was embarassing the first time around. Krav Maga is the highly effective, battle tested Israeli system of defensive tactics, fighting skills and self-defence. Not as interesting as I had imagined. I was thinking more of a Mr. Miyagi, guess it was a good thing that I looked it up then, huh? So now that you know one of my GG stumps, are or were there any references that had you stumped?

Gah! There was one a few weeks ago, but it went so far over my head that I don't even remember what it was.

I'll keep my ears open for others though.

Mine was the Nag Hamadi episode, season 3. When Rory, Lor and Chris were at the auction and they had a copy of the book, I wondered what its significance was, why none of the 3 even knew about it.

The Nag Hamadi is the Egyptian Gnostic writings during early Christianity defining its orthodoxy.

The other Stumper I have is why Lorelai, known as one of the brightest girls when in school, sometimes acts like a dunce and not in a cute way.

    SCHOOL ME!

Oh wow, I have no idea what you guys are talking about...LOL I must have missed more episodes than I thought. I didn't get to watch last night's episode...I'm guessing it was new, right? Are they starting to play new episodes now?

Yep. New episodes are on the boards. And it is weird that Lorelai is supposed to be this smart lady but acts so dizty, maybe her free spirit causes her diztiness. But it doesn't matter, she's the best at good entertainment on the show.

I don't know. The 3 Stooges (Robert, Finn and Colin) were at their ridiculous last night.

Okay, so I finally watched my taping of Tuesday's show of GG...LOL I can't believe Rory hasn't dumped Logan yet! Um...hello? He slept with like EVERYONE when he and her were broken up..that shows how shallow he is. And I don't understand why Rory kept apologizing to Jess for showing up to his event-thingy. She obviously wanted to go, shown by her smiling at the invitation when she got it in the mail. And they had a moment....I seriously think she should dump Logan, let him go sleep around, and start being better friends with Jess. I'm SO excited to see next week's episode! =)

Yep, Rory should throw Logan out with the Tuesday trash. What I can't believe is that she still loves Logan. Hello! Stupid: party of one.

And yes, next week's episode is looking good. Lorelai gets to meet April officially, I presume, and I hope that she tells Luke off for his behavior before she runs to his rescue. It's much better if she is superman with the horse and helmet while Luke's got his foot in his mouth.

Why does it say Williams Hardware on the storefront at Luke's Dinner-Was Luke's father's first name William?
