Milo Tomorrow

The hearty-one-liner bad boy will return tomorrow on April 11th, 2006. And he's swinging into Gilmore Girls with an eye on Rory, and she's not shying away either. This is so great! Jess and Rory together again. Yes, I know that it's only for this one season six episode called The Real Paul Anka, but it's a dream come true. I'll even go out and say that it's the best move that team Palladino have made all season.

But let's recap Milo's Jess time on Gilmore Girls: He stepped into Stars Hollow fresh off the bus, with eyes on the innocent Rory as soon as his radar picked up her presence. He proceeded to worm his way into her heart, while wedging a gap between Rory and Dean and between Rory and Lorelai as well. His bad boy exterior doesn't hold for much because he's a softy that's got Rory eating out of his hands just as we too are nose deep in his kibble. But as soon as he captivates Rory and her world, he loses himself and goes off to find himself. He's popped up a couple of times since his run in season three's end, and now he's back.

What are you hoping his arrival will do in this episode? Do you think it will be the wrench that will end Logan and Rory's relationship? Or are you just glad that you are getting some Milo/Jess face time?

I want him to really have Rory realize that she does not have to settle for Logan. She can do more. She is more.

Now if only he'd actually LIKE to be back in GG. All he said was that he'd prefer being a guest rather than a mainstay.

I don't think that Rory should with Logan at all..I've missed the past few episodes, so the last one I saw (about a month ago) involved Rory and Logan still together. I've got a lot of catching up to do...I can't wait until this season comes out on DVD so I can actually watch the shows in order and catch up.

Anyway, I think that Jess and Rory should just be friends. Yes, he seemed different the last time he visited Rory -he wrote a book and seemed a little more down-to-earth. But I still don't think they are right for each other.

Yep, donut shop. I think that Jess should show up and help direct Rory back to herself. His last appearance (if I remember correctly) helped her realize her life goals. Now, it's time that he shock her back into herself, her character. And hey, if a kiss will do that then by all means.

And lindy. Rory dumped the arss, then jumped to his side when he came back begging. But she was still upset and returned home with a whole lot of pouting which is clearly seen when she ignored his calls and didn't even bother to tell Logan that she went to the Hollow. And all that I have to say about that is that...cry me a river you big baby! LOL.

I actually like Rory and Logan as a couple (just for the dramatic potential because of all Logan's issues), but I'm glad to see Jess come back and kick a little bootie.

I never liked Jess until the last episode he was in where he was finally well-grounded and actually helped Rory see where she'd gone wrong.

I'd love to see Rory and Jess give it another shot now, but since that's not going to happen I'll settle for Jess's being Rory's occasional life counselor. He's the one person (besides Lorelai, who loses effective on account of her being a relative) who knows Rory's potential and can push her towards it. Logan's too full of himself to do it.

You said it in a nutshell, and I couldn't agree more.

    Amen, Michael!

I think Logan and Rory have a potential to be a defective couple. I guess the drama behind the man Logan is and their potential of failure as a couple speaks volumes Sociologically. Romance may be a basis for western affairs but in the long run, parents disliking Rory, Logan's ability to put off responsibility, the money disparity, their ideals, all of these things are so mismatched that their chances of having a successful relationship might as well be condisered dead.

My guess is, if Rory and Jess were to be a couple, it would take Rory to hit rock bottom, both he and Rory to grow up (although the Jess growth had been significant) and to come to their own personalities themselves.

It is strange how life feels when one's out of the classroom and in the real world.

Yeah donut shop, I agree with you about Rory and Jess. Thing is, I thought Rory had already hit rock bottom when she was with Logan..I wonder if she and Jess could be together even if she wasn't at rock bottom? I don't know...we'll see. I have a lot of catching up to do!
