Forever In Love

When we first see Christopher, he rides up on a 2000 Indian in front of Taylor's grocery store. He gets off his bike and tells Lorelai to take off her shirt. He's sly, quick witted and completely gorgeous. And he has more than a similar left earlobe to his first daughter Rory. He lies when it's convient, but his heart has always been in the right place and always been for one -- Lorelai. The problem is that he's a high class man and not just in wealth. When Lorelai got pregnant by Chris, he was willing to marry her not only because he loved her but because it was the right thing to do. When one gets pregnant, one gets married. It didn't go over with Lorelai, who lives by her own measurement. And when Chris was put in a similar situation with Sherry, he goes and does the honorable thing. He doesn't love her, well he didn't love her like he is in love with Lorelai. Lorelai was the one to shake his world. The one to walk up and kiss him because she wanted to know what it felt like. She has been the one to make an impression on him. He's never forgotten her. She is the one he measures other women by. So he will always be forever in love with Lorelai.

But who is Lorelai forever in love with? That is the question. On one hand we have Chris, and on the other hand we have Luke. It's the triangle. And the triangle is dangerous. It has three edges and someone is bound to get hurt. We've seen over and over again just how dangerous it can be. When Lorelai was ready for Christopher, he was not ready. He loves her unconditionally, but he's never been ready to tackle Lor every minute of the day. That or Sherry gets pregnant. And when Luke and Lorelai were ready, a thorn was thrown into the mix -- April. This thorn screwed with Luke. It knocked him out of his element. He has struggled to find a new meaning, and in the process over the season, he left his desire for Lorelai out in the cold. He neglected her. But does that make him a bad guy? He's her Mr. Fix It, but we can't all assume that he'll always be that. Of course, he'll probably be the best coffee source in her life. He'll provide her with what she needs. And he'll always ground her because it's his nature. But what about Chris? He was her first, her first in so many things and ways. He is from her world. He matches her in wit and knowledge. Chris even has an impact on her. He weakens her in the knees. He arouses her emotions...anger or otherwise.

With everything that's happened, I'm voting for Christopher Haden. Hot Chris. Luke has pissed me off with his selfish needs. You have a daughter Luke, so get over it. Deal with it, and move on. You are too late anyway. Ha! I have to tell you all that Lorelai in Christopher's bed was just great. It has made me giddy, and oh, so happy. As you all can tell by this post.

I can tell that the finale has you in a bundle Rudy. You seem so freaked -- or I should say estatic (is that a word?). And I agree that Chris has always had one true love -- Lorelai. And I think the picture of them on the balcony says it all. They have heat, chemistry, inner language. Just like in the finale episode. Lor and Chris could talk to each other over the table without even saying a word. They have a connection, and I'm with you Rudy. CHRIS AND LOR ALL THE WAY! You didn't see Chris shoving Lor out of his life for his daughter -- he still wanted her, he still chased after her and he even let her babysit the brat this season, remember? So leave Luke taking care of his daughter and finally let Lor be where she fits -- in Chris's arms.

I looked it up. It's a word; you just miss spelled it. It actually has a "c" in it -- ecstatic (and it means showing great feeling or pleasure).

I'm in a bundle, too. But it's not because I'm happy. I can't believe that she just walked away from Luke into another man's arms. I thought she said that she loved Luke. Well, sleeping with Chris is not showing her love for the guy. Osh Gosh Bagosh!

She does love Luke in away. She asked him to marry her, but when you're rejected and hurt and neglected by the man you think you will spend the rest of your life with, you're bound to run to someone. And I, for one, am thankful that it's Chris.

P.S. I'm sorry, but you are getting no sympathy from me. I love Chris, and hope that him and Lor will go off into the sunset together.

I think that Luke was someone who just had to happen, and that Chris is her true one.

Yes. That's it. That's it. Since the beginnig of GG, I felt like she and Luke would happen. I could sense it. But I also sensed that she and Chris would finally find the right time to have what they should have -- a life together.
