SPOILERS For "The Long Morrow"

Alright you guys. I'm completely frantic in waiting. All my shows, including VM, have me wound up tight, ready to explode. And more now than ever, for I just stumbled up Ausiello's new info for the season seven premiere episode -- The Long Morrow.

Here it is as follows:

I've Read the First Gilmore Girls Script!
Don't ask me how I got it. Or from whom. But I got it.

By "it," I'm referring to the most sought-after 77 pages in Hollywood right now — the script for the season premiere of Gilmore Girls, penned by David S. Rosenthal. OK, so maybe "the most sought-after" is a slight exaggeration, but it's definitely been the most sought after by me. You see, this script contains answers to some of the new season's biggest questions. Among them: Can Rosenthal mimic Team Palladino's signature, rapid-fire rhythms? How will last May's controversial finale affect Luke and Lorelai? Does the boss favor some supporting characters over others? And, most importantly, is the thing any good?

Let's start with that last question first. I'm happy and greatly relieved — and, if I'm being completely honest, a smidge shocked — to report that yes, it's good. In fact, it's better than good — it's great.

Obviously, I can't get too specific. As it is, Warner Bros. and CW have probably already hired a bounty hunter to track down the source of the script leak. But here are some things I learned about Mr. Rosenthal after reading his debut as show-runner, with a few spoilers mixed in for fun.

He has Palladino blood in him.
Translation: He's got Amy and Dan's style down pat. When I finished the script, I almost had to look back at the byline to make sure the last name was Rosenthal and not Palladino. Honestly, I could not tell the difference. Besides nailing the banter, several of his one-liners were classic, laugh-out-loud Palladino. On the downside, like his predecessors, he overestimates viewers' appetite for one Taylor Doose.

He's a fan of Luke and Lorelai.
Now I'm not going to lie to you: The episode is going to be a tough one for Luke and Lorelai fans to watch. Really tough. Based on how the season ended — and the fact that Rosenthal confirmed to me last week that Lorelai and Christopher did indeed have sex — that much was a given. But I think he handled the fallout from Christophergate with unbelievable grace and dignity — particularly as it pertains to Luke and Lorelai as a couple. Let me put it this way: The episode left no doubt in my mind that Lorelai and Luke are meant for each other.

He'll always have Paris.
Liza Weil told me herself at the CW party last week that Rosenthal had given her her longest scene ever in the premiere — and she wasn't exaggerating. It's six pages! But it's not the length that stood out, it's the way Rosenthal managed to capture Paris' trademark vim, vigor and bite. Plus, I can't think of a more perfect business venture for Rory's sometime roommate than an SAT-prep course. The possibilities for clashes with stupidity are endless!

He's a hopeless romantic.
And Logan and Rory fans will be swooning as a result. Sure, the episode finds them on opposite continents, but Rosenthal has found a way to bring them closer together than I think they've ever been. All I'll say is his method is sweet, utterly romantic, and it ties in with the episode title "The Long Morrow." And the end result should put Matt Czuchry fans' mind at ease (at least for the short term).

Other scoopy treats from the episode:
* Rory and Lorelai spend some quality time together at a *a********* c****.
* There's a very silly subplot involving Michel, Sookie and *r* ********g.
* Lorelai makes a passing reference to the title of one of the best Gilmore Girls episodes ever.
* I was left with the impression that there will be a significant time lapse between Episodes 1 and 2.
* Emily, Richard, Lane, April and Anna are MIA, but the rest of the supporting cast is pretty much accounted for.

Having said all this, there's no guarantee our Girls won't go to hell in a handbasket beginning with the second episode. But let's celebrate one win at a time. We got over the first hurdle. Rosenthal is clearly a talented guy who gets our little show. That's a good start.

** Just keeps getting better and better, huh?

Spoiler Discussion

The latest season seven spoiler of Gilmore Girls is that there will be at least one new addition to Stars Hollow...increasing the population of this town. We already know from the previous season that Liz, Luke's sisters, is with child. But who else could we see have a baby? Lorelai? Rory? Lane? If your money's on Lor, whose child do you think she will have? Voice your opinion in the comments.

More Ausiello Stuff

Here is Ausiello about GILMORE GIRLS PRESENTATION:

3:38 pm: New show-runner David Rosenthal is not what I expected. Don't know why, but I thought he'd be more of an imposing figure. Just the opposite. He seems very laid-back and, dare I say, ordinary. In other words, the exact opposite of AS-P.

3:40 pm: I grab the microphone and, as I start to ask my question, Lauren says "Hi, Michael" from the stage. It's a beautiful moment that, unfortunately, gets pissed on by a reporter on the opposite side of the room who seems hell-bent on getting his question in before mine. A brief shouting match ensues, but I decide to take the high road and let him go ahead of me. It's not easy being such a class act.

3:43 pm: OK, I got my Luke-Lorelai question in. Basically, Rosenthal can't promise smooth sailing for the fractured pair. "Life is full of drama and conflict and confusion and choices you make and choices you regret," he says. "I think that's what makes for good storytelling."

3:53 pm: Lauren is leaving the door to doing another season slightly ajar. "I haven't been in this particular collaboration before, and I think we're all really excited to see where the show can go. I read the first script [and] I love it. So a lot of things could happen. The fact is that our legal contracts are up. So you begin to imagine, 'Well, what if?' in a different way than we have before."

3:55 pm: Yikes! A critic just asks David how his sordid past — you can consult Google for more — makes him the right person to lead Gilmore Girls. He's clearly flustered by the question. "You know, my personal life is not an issue here," he says. "It's not worth getting into. I'm just here to talk about the show." Unfortunately for everyone in the room, the critic persists. "How does it make you professionally the right person for this show?" Lauren immediately leaps to his defense. "It has nothing to do with anything," she snaps. "Next!" Ah, just another reason I adore Lauren Graham.

4:00 pm: A reporter asks Lauren, "I don't want to put words in your mouth, but your answers to several questions... " What, sound like she's, um, excited by the show's new direction? I was getting that impression, too! "If you write anything that makes me sound like I said something negative about Amy and Dan, I will be upset. [They] gave me the best job I ever had. But they really, you know, liked to run things in a certain way that was specific to the two of them and that was more, I guess, hands-on. But every show-runner has the way they do it, and some of them don't really want anyone else's opinion, and some of them do." She adds that, under David, there's definitely more of an "open-door" policy.

4:01 pm: If this is the final season of Gilmore Girls, David says he "would definitely" want to consult Amy about how to end the show. "I just want to see if anybody can guess what [the final two words] are," Lauren chimes in. A reporter suggests that maybe it's "you're pregnant!" "Wow, that's exciting," Lauren responds. "Who would say it to whom?"

4:02 pm: Alexis is going to see how this season goes before deciding on another year. "This is totally new, so we'll see."

You can view his postsession chat with David Rosenthal by clicking here. It's a must read. Truly, it is. David gives better details...that will both delight and fright. Well, I must say that there was more delight for me than fright.

Gee, I hope all this news and spoiler stuff isn't going to fast. I don't want to tap the barrel dry before we enter the new season.

More GG Spoilers

According to a TV.com article...

"Stars Hollow is about to get a little more crowded...'At some point [this season], there will be a BABY on Gilmore Girls.'"

Holy Bananas! Didn't I say it? Didn't I say after the finale that they'd probably play on the "baby" thing? Now, I don't have any confirmation that it is Lorelai that is in the baby way, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't her. And I'd be pissed if it is Rory.

Okay, okay. Here's some more suff from the article...

"In addition to a visit from the stork, [David Rosenthal] said Gilmore fans can expect more screen time for Rory's dad. Rory will also fill the vacuum left by Logan's move to London by dating some new guys."

Sweet Lord! I wonder if Marty is one of the bachlors taking our young Gilmore out on the town. It'd definitely be a stepping stone for her.

GG Update

Ausiello Report says...

"Live-Blogging the Gilmore Girls Session
3:40: Damn Wi-Fi!! It went down JUST as the session started. We're back up and running now.

3:43: Got the Luke/Lorelai question in. Dave didn't say anything specific about how he planned to repair the relationship, just that fans should "stay tuned."

3:50: Lauren Graham is clearly optimistic about GG post-Palladino.

3:53: Lauren left the door open to doing another season. Alexis didn't address it.

3:55: Yikes! A reporter just asked David about Heidi Klum and Lauren jumped to his defense. "It has nothing to do with anything. Next!"

3:59: David is being EXTREMELY tight-lipped about future plotlines.

4:00: Lauren concedes that things are more "open door" with David, but she doesn't want that to be seen as a diss on Amy and Dan.

4:01: If this is the final season of Gilmore Girls, David says he WILL ask Amy how she intended to end the show. [Yipee!]

4:02: Alexis is going to see how this season goes before deciding on another year. [I'm going to see, too!]

4:05: Bad news, Logan fans: David says Logan will be staying in London. [I couldn't be happier.] Also, Christopher will be a bigger presence than ever before. (Don't shoot the messenger!) [Double Yipee!]

4:07: No plans to being Milo back.

OK, just had a 15-minute interview with Rosenthal. I'll transcribe and post later [I'll post it here for you guys], but here are the highlights: Matt Czuchry is NOT leaving the show. Logan and Rory will have a long-distance relationship. Lorelai and Christopher DID have sex in the finale. Marty will be back [Woohooo!]. It sounds like Luke and Lorelai will be broken up --at least during the first part of the season. He's aware that fans are not happy about how last season ended [What? I am.]."

Oh, my goodness! My excitement for the new season is growing exponentially.

Fated To Stay Together...

As most of you know, I'm not a Rory and Logan fanatic. But after watching You Jump, I Jump, Jack again, you have to admit that their start was magical. The secret society, the Latin, the eloquent dresses and tuxes. Everything seemed a little modern Cinderella...in a sense. When our girl wonder met the rich boy, he made her more alive, he made her feel like a fashionable princess, and he encouraged her to take risks. To jump a bridge. Meet new and intellectually interesting people. Logan inspires Rory, as much as he has destroyed her.

Moreover, we know from spoilers that Logan is here to stay this upcoming season. And we know from the finale that their goodbye, though rather bittersweet, was not forever. [If you've read the new post above, then you know they are trying it long distance.] But what do you think or want to happen? Are Logan and Rory fated to stay together? Do you think that the birds will make good with the long distance relationship? Or with the new info about Marty, do you think things will get a little messing?

Personally, I hope the Logan and Rory don't. I'm hoping for a Jess return, but things go with the flow. And since Logan is here to stay, I'm betting on him. But in no way do I think they are fated. Not so sure any more. If Marty's back, then all my money is on him.

* The blue print is my new imput since the A's Report.

Spoiler Alert

I have some general news and some specific news on the first episode, so I'll jump right to it.

THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS
So please beware.

SPOILERS BELOW THIS POINT.

GENERAL NEWS:
According to Ask Ausiello over at TVGuide.com, "...the first six episodes are going to be very, very, very dramatic for Luke and Lorelai." I can't wait for that!

7.01 NEWS:
Episode Title -- "The Long Morrow" (airs Sept. 19, 2006)
According to Spoilerfix.com, "Paris starts a small business to help student prep for the SATs. She meets a student named Kaitlin and her mother. After being brutally honest about what she thinks of Kaitlin, she agrees to help her study for the SATs. She then has the mother and the daughter take an aptitude test to know what potential Kaitlin has and what comes from genetics. At the diner, Luke is particularly irritated especially when a customer tries to leave without paying his bill. When Taylor's Thunderbird is stranded in front of the diner, Taylor wants it to stay there until the insurance company takes a look at it. Luke must decide if he wants it towed or not. Being depressed and unsure, Luke can't make a decision." I just have one thing to say, "he shouldn't feel good."

Hope these spoilers give you a little something to tide you over until the new season starts.

CW Promo

Hello again, everybody!

Alexis-online.net has posted one of the first promos of the 06-07 season for the new CW Network. The clip hit the television waves last night, which I missed. And it features Alexis and Lauren as far as I can tell. Tom Welling, Erica Durance, James Lafferty, Bethany Joy Lenz and more are on the clip, too. It's not long, but it's something. To download it, you can click HERE.

Below are some pictures taken from the clip. There isn't any of the GG character because I couldn't find a nice still. Have fun with the ones I was able to get!

* Credit of the clip belongs to alexis-online.net! And the still of Tom and Erica is all Devoted To Smallville...thanks so much. Plus, the credit of the James Lafferty, Bethany Joy Lenz stills belongs to DareToMove.

Evan Almighty Pictures

As we all know, Lauren Graham has been filming Evan Almighty, a sequel to the Bruce Almighty movie with Jim Carey. Below are some shots of her on set with co-star Steve Carell.

P.S. I have something in the works. I hope to have it posted by tomorrow, so for now, just enjoy the pictures and the transcript that is in the post below.

Alexis Bledel On Regis & Kelly

Alexis Bledel had an interview on the morning talk show Regis & Kelly last week, July 3rd to be exact. It wasn't very long and lengthy, but Alexis tackled her road to fame and she even let it slip about her and Milo. Below is the transcript of the interview. Enjoy!

"Regis: Okay, our next guest plays Rory Gilmore on the WB's critically acclaimed series Gilmore Girls.. You see some awfully good things on there..
Kelly: Oh sure, yeah!
Regis: So please welcome Alexis Bledel!

Regis: Alexis Bledel! Of the Gilmore Girls!
Alexis: Yes!
Kelly: Last time you were here was during the blackout?
Alexis: Yes, last time I was in New York I got stuck in the blackout, I was on one of the last flights of the Concord coming back - um - trying to get back to LA to work on the show and the blackout had just happened when we landed, so I didn't get back to LA right away. I actually had to take like a cabride into the city for like a 100 $, with like eight other people. And like, try to get into the city and find a place to stay. And I ended up sleeping in the lobby of a building for like a homeless person [laughs] Because there was nowhere to go.
Regis: No electricity for the elevators
Alexis: No! No electricity for anything.. it was crazy!
Regis: Sure .. So um - Boy you had an exciting life! You know that?
Alexis: Really, yeah?
Regis: I think, yeah!
Alexis: I like it [laughs]
Regis: You came here to New York the first time many years ago when you were at high school, or just out of high school
Alexis: Yeah, I came to college - um, to NYU - when I was eighteen. And um -
Kelly: Is that where you were discovered? Or were you discovered before that?
Alexis: Well - while I was at school here I actually started going on a handful of auditions and that's when I um - I got the part on Gilmore Girls. And I moved to LA shortly after that, and I've been doing that
Regis: But before that you were a model
Alexis: Yes
Regis: So you had one summer of living here in New York, you and what? Eight models? Lived with you and your mom in a two-bedroom apartment..
Alexis: A bunch of models and my mom basically [laughs]
Kelly: And - and if you know anything about models, they're incredibly neat
[Laughter]
Alexis: It was - it was, I mean we had like bunk beds and like just - people have stuff everywhere and my mom was sort of the - everybody's mom. She would make breakfast for everybody and take care, clean up for everybody. Um - but yeah, it was a crazy experience
Regis: Were you a good model?
Alexis: Um - I don't know
Regis: Did you walk down that runway with like *****?
Alexis: I didn't do runway, actually. I mostly did print jobs, 'cause I'm not tall enough to do - you have to be really tall.
Regis: You gotta be at least 6'8"
Alexis: At least!
[Laughter]
Regis: The Gilmore Girls, did you hear about this audition, is that how it happened?
Alexis: Um - I was sent on the audition by my agent at the time, my manager, and um - and - they just kept calling me back, and calling me back, and so I -
Regis: And eventually you got the job
Alexis: Yeah
Kelly: So literally, like an untrained actor auditioned..
Alexis: Oh, yeah - I didn't know what I was doing, at all.
Kelly: It's incredible!
Alexis: It was - it was - yeah, insane. I was not expecting that at all, I mean..
Kelly: Another thing I didn't know - I didn't know this about you - that you - that Spanish is your first language?
Alexis: Yeah
Kelly: I had no idea - 'cause when I look at you, I go 'ooh, she's a little Irish girl'
Alexis: Right! That's what everybody thinks! But um - no - I can totally understand and speak Spanish - and always have, so.
Regis: I can speak Spanish too
Alexis: You can? What can you say?
Regis: Quesadilla
Alexis: Very good!
[Laughter]
Kelly: Isn't that incredible?
Alexis: It is good! That's good
Kelly: Did that do anything for you Alexis?
Alexis: Very accurate .. made me hungry actually
Regis: Does this Gilmore Girl have a boyfriend?
Alexis: Um - no, no. Not right now, um - no [laughs]
Regis: What's a Gilmore Girl without a boyfriend?
[Laughter]
Alexis: I had lots of them on the show though, they were like in heavy rotation.. guys are coming back and then they leave.. and there's like four of them at all times. It's very .. unrealistic honestly
[Laughter]
Regis: The show's been on for six years, and I understand your executive producers, who are a man and wife team, right? are leaving?
Alexis: Yes, they're leaving the show, yeah. Um - they've been there for six years and they - they created it and basically did everything for it, and it's gonna be weird .. this year without them, because it's so much about them.. and their ideas and sense of humor, and everything
Regis: Well thank you so much for coming by
Alexis: Thank you! Thank you for having me!
Regis: Gilmore Girls is Tuesday Night's at 8 o'clock on the WB!"

* Thanks to Alexis-Online.net for the transcript!

Milo News

Hi all,

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July filled with hotdogs, flags and fireworks. I was a little busy with my family and friends…a little too busy with my friends because I totally spaced. I didn’t get to see the Macy’s 4th special. So sad! Well, it’s only sad because it is like a tradition in my house to curl up with a beer (cocoa if under age) and watch the show. Oh, well. Things turned out alright and I had a heap of fun. Now, let’s get at it.

According to Ask Ausiello over at TV Guide…

Milo Ventimiglia did dish about a possible return to Gilmore Girls, saying it's "never going to happen" — especially now that Team Palladino have hit the road. "I felt [Jess' story] was done a long time ago, but Dan and Amy kept saying, 'We got some cool things, and we're really hoping you'll be a part of it.' So I went back and I kind of enjoyed what Jess turned into. He turned into a grown-up. Watching that last episode, I was like, 'It's done.'"

Alright, it is not much. But I’m hoping to dive into season five of Gilmore Girls soon and get some articles circulating! Hopefully I'll have time.

Red, White & Blue

Happy 4th Of July!!!

Bye, Bye From The Beginning

I recently stumbled upon a news post I thought I would share with you all. According to a TV.com article link, The WB has decided to croak one last time on Sunday, Sept. 17th, with all their signature shows. Of course, The WB will only be rebroadcasting the pilot episodes of those television shows. Shows that will include but will not be limited to Felicity, Dawson's Creek and Buffy. To read the entire story, link here. You'll have to have a subscription to access it, but all you really need to know is what I typed up above. So prepare to saddle up and enjoy the glory days!

...Friday Night Lights...

After watching the episode Ted Koppel's Big Night Out, I realized just how crazy football can be. Well, I really already had that memo. This episode just slammed shut the book, especially with the Bow Wow Wow from grandpa Gilmore. For any school, whether it be high school or college, football is not just a sport...it's like a religion. Spirit week, face paintings, school colors and the pixie stick, pom-pom brigade doesn't even come close to covering the pyscho festivities. Prep rallies, friday night lights and tailgating can be added to the insanity of it all. Now don't get me wrong, I joined in. It's what you do. You walk the short distance to the concession stand, chomp down on a hot dog and cheer on the home team. You scream out your lungs before you realize that you...yourself...is caught up in the mania. But what is it that gets us hooked? What gets our attention and what makes it so intense? Just sitting on the bleachers seems mentally crazy. But when you are there, the spectating involvement is intoxicating. Why is that?

Now, I don't expect you to responde. Just think if you wish. I'd also like to say that I'm sorry for the craziness of the speech. It's just one of those random things that GG has sent reeling to the front of my cranium. Aside from my football rant, what are your thoughts on the inspiring episode? Was the Gilmore girls' football experience based in reality? What do you thing about Dan and does Emily and Richard's tailgating seem at all plausible and real? Here's your chance to tell all. Rant or shine!
