We have 2 winners...

So GG fans, the day has finally come again to raise a cheer and a glass to the ladies who play those adorable Gilmore girls. If you watched the Teen Choice Awards, then you all ready know that Gilmore Girls had some wins. Two to be exact. Alexis Bledel, our Rory wonder, won the Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Actress in Comedy, and Lauren Graham, our mother dearest, won the Teen Choice Award for Choice Parental Unit. That's paramount news on the GG front. Lauren and Alexis both deserve some due. Congrats ladies!

FYI -- Premiere Schedule

As we gravitate into this fall's premieres, anticipating the return of VM's mystery machine and GG's dashing wit, lets review and mentally mark what premieres when and where.

GREY'S ANATOMY: Need a doctor? You can catch a whole herd full on ABC's medical dram, Grey's Anatomy, which is set to premiere September 21 with Time Has Come Today.

GILMORE GIRLS: On September 26, the fashionably hip and wildly dramatic Gilmore girls will return on The CW for their seventh premiere episode, The Long Morrow.

SMALLVILLE: The CW's action packed and drama filled myth, Smallville, will fly on to our screens September 28. And I hear that last year's ending will come to a close on a 3 episode arc starting with season six's premiere, Zod.

VERONICA MARS: It's off to college on October 3 for Veronica. No reason or rhyme why it's the last to premiere on The CW, but I'm sure that Welcome Wagon will leave all LoVe fans excited.

THE O.C.: This FOX California becon will reopen its waves on November 2 with the premiere episode The Avengers.

Does anyone have any show to add? If not, mark your calendars and secure your memory. New episodes are coming soon. And you'll not want to miss them!

Logan Tid-bit

Many spoilers in various details have confirmed that Gilmore Girls's Logan, played by Matt Czuchry, will return this season. Indeed, it's been confirmed that he'll appear in 15 episodes of the 22 scheduled for the season. What's unheard however is a Logan tid-bit by Terry Morrow over at KnowNews.com. According to Morrow, "At the end of last season, Logan took a job in England, resulting in a tearful split between him and Rory. Not all comes together quickly for the estranged couple: Czuchry will only appear in brief scenes for the first two episodes. Logan's just seen talking on the phone. But Czuchry suspects that Logan, whom he has played for three seasons, will be seen much more after that." Hmmm...where to begin. Well, it's shocking to hear that Czuchry's been with the show for three seasons. In reality, I know that it is true. But in my world, I must have deleted that little fact. But that's not important. What is important is how much more of Logan will we see in the 15 episodes and in what capacity. Personally, I don't want the whole season with Logan and Rory on the phone. But if that does happen, I sure hope that Lorelai and Rory can spend more quality time with each other. I miss movie nights. I miss season one. Okay, tid-bit and rant over.

Q&A Session

Good morning all!!

It appears that my absence on the internet yesterday has gained me a surprise this morning. For as I'm flipping through my favorites, I noticed that Ausiello has posted his Ask Ausiello. It's really not much of a surprise...I just forgot that it was Wednesday yesterday. But whalaa. This morning it's there to brighten my day. Okay. Okay. On with the Q&A.

Question: Please, please, please tell me that Gilmore Girls isn't planning to make Lorelai pregnant and then do a whole "Who's the daddy" mystery. That would definitely veer into jump-the-shark territory. — Karl

Ausiello: Allow me to put your mind at ease. Better yet, let show-runner Dave Rosenthal put your mind at ease. "That will not be happening — I promise," he says of a potential paternity stumper. "There are no sharks anywhere near our set and there will be no jumping of them." Rosenthal can also promise that within the first couple of episodes, Stars Hollow will experience a bit of a baby boom. Translation: Luke's sister, Liz, isn't the only one expecting. "There will be more than two babies born this season." Oh, and one more thing: "There also will be a marriage this season," he reveals. "I can’t say exactly when, but somebody’s getting hitched." Send me your guesses! My money's on Paris and Doyle.

Question: I couldn't disagree with you more re: the Luke-Lorelai vs. Lorelai-Christopher chemistry on Gilmore Girls, but to each his own. More importantly, I get the impression from your comments and your interview with Dave Rosenthal that we are never again going to see L/L as a couple on GG. The most we should hope for is a last-minute reunion in the series finale. Do you think this is the most likely scenario? — Cally

Ausiello: It depends how you interpret Dave Rosenthal's following comments: "Do I think Luke and Lorelai ultimately are soul mates? I do. I really do. But does that mean they’re going to run off together tomorrow and live happily ever after? No. They’re at a point where they both have some regrowing and changing to do, and some things to figure out."

If anyone tries to berate you for your bravery in admitting that Lauren Graham sparks with David Sutcliffe, let me know, and I'll beat them up. — Janet

Ausiello: You can start with OrangeSherbert7, who posted a comment on my blog accusing me of pushing for a Lorelai-Christopher romance to curry favor with Rosenthal. That's crazy talk. I'm pushing for a Lorelai-Christopher romance to curry favor with Lauren Graham. Duh.

Question: What happened to my favorite Lorelai-Luke fan? Have you been brainwashed? — Lou

Ausiello: For the record, my position on this issue has not changed: I'm still pro-Luke and Lorelai. But after the events of last season, they clearly need a break from one another — and us from them. Let's hope absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Question: Dude, that GG/VM Logan-crossover scoop? Best. Ever. Where am I sending you that case of Snapple? — Julie

Ausiello: Sure, now you want to send me Snapple. Where were you two weeks ago when I was lying on the floor of the Ritz Carlton twitching like Whitney in rehab. But I'm not bitter. And to prove it, I'm going to share with you what Rob Thomas had to say about the Oct. 24 crossover, which, as many of you pointed out, isn't technically a crossover since Matt Czuchry isn't playing Logan Huntzberger on Mars. (Cue me rolling my eyes and making a "W" with my fingers.) "The network suggested it, as [happens with] many of these things. But it's one of those times that I'm happy about the suggestion. I'm excited that it's a real actor… rather than a Top Model — not that I think our Top Models have done a bad job." Rob confirms that Czuchry will play Charlie Stone, half brother of Mars' Logan (Jason Dohring), but that's all he'll confirm. "I want to save the rest of the show."

Question: I can't figure out your Gilmore Girls season-premiere asterisk quizzes. Can you please give me another hint? — Hannah

Ausiello: OK, I'll fill in some additional letters. Rory and Lorelai spend some quality time together at a *a********l c*u**, and there's a very silly subplot involving Michel, Sookie and *r* w******ng. (Hint: Someone got the second one correct in last week's AA.)

Question: Do you have any more information on the time lapse that may or may not occur between the first and second Gilmore Girls episodes? — Jennifer

Ausiello: Actually, I just learned that GG's traditional summertime skip will take place between Episodes Three and Four. The first three episodes are essentially one continuous arc.

Question: I will love you forever if you tell me one thing: Do Luke and Lorelai have a scene together in the Gilmore Girls season premiere? And if so, is it really sad? — Kel

Ausiello: Yes and yes.

Just one question: has anyone figured out what *a********l c*u** and *r* w******ng means? I'm having a blonde moment, where I can't seem to focus on it at all. Can't even fathom a guess...and it's killing me!

Fresh News

According to Reuters, Amy Sherman-Palladino is digging into a new project for FOX. She has signed a deal to run a half-hour sitcom pilot about two sisters who reunite after one agrees to carry the other's baby. Hmmm...interesting. And let me clarify that "run" gives Amy the job of writing, producing and directing the pilot, which means that she'll have a hand it which way the show jump starts and heads. Look for it to be a comedy more than anything else. My only concern is that I don't want it to be a GG remake. But when more news on Amy and the show springs up, like a name, I'll let you all know.

For now...
Tuddles & Goodbye!

Old Interview

I was roaming through GilmoreGirls.org, when I stumbled upon an old interview with Devon Michaels. It isn't that old of an interview. It actually took place May 09, 2006, not long before the season six finale. And in case you don't recall who Michaels is, then allow me to remind you. He plays Bill, one of the Yale Daily News writers on the show. If that still doesn't give you anything, well, his character wears vests and oh, yeah, giggles. Now, without further delay, here is the interview:

In a case of art imitating life, Gilmore Girls actor Devon Michaels is a real-life Yale graduate who plays Bill, a Yale Daily News writer, on the show. When Michaels was ten, he was exposed to classic pieces of theatre (Hamlet in Stratford-upon-Avon, Antigone in Greece) on a family trip to Europe and within a year asked his parents if he could take acting lessons. A full-fledged actor since his early teens, Michaels performed both on and Off-Broadway before making the move to southern California to further his career. He has gone on to appear in Frasier, The West Wing, and Numb3rs; and is currently working on a couple of short films. As Bill on Gilmore Girls, Michaels portrays a sweater vest wearing newspaper man, but in real life he's much more of a fun and relaxed guy (with a better sense of style, no doubt).

GilmoreGirls.org recently fielded fan questions specifically for Devon. Read on for Gilmore gossip in this exclusive Q&A.

Question: I'm very un-Hollywood, so I don't know anything about the casting process. How did you go from doing theater in New York to ending up on Gilmore Girls? —Amelia, Alberta

Devon Michaels: It was a pretty long road actually. After some life-changing experiences working with people like Joseph Papp and Mandy Patinkin, I wanted to have a 'normal' life as a high school senior, so I took a break from professional acting and just had a lot of fun. By the time I finished college, though, I had been out of the industry loop for half a decade, and it was quite a chore to get my career going again. (I hear Yale degrees are usually a good thing when it comes to finding work, but in the fickle world of entertainment it's hard to say). A lot of the casting directors in NY only knew me as a child actor, and I suddenly had to prove myself in a much larger pool of competition. Plus, since I wasn't a kid anymore I also needed to consider other little matters like, say, paying my rent. So, I moved to LA, hoping to find more lucrative work in film and television. I love New York. And I'm sure I'll end up living there again at some point, but the move made sense. I was fortunate enough to get an audition for a guest-star role on "Invisible Man," a show on the Sci-Fi Channel at the time. Booking that part got me the agent I still have today, and one of the first general interviews they set up for me was with Mara Casey and Jami Rudofsky (the Gilmore Girls casting directors). They called me in to read for a role that same year, but I didn't get it. After a few years passed and I had added more TV credits to my resume, they thought of me again when they were looking for a 'Bill.' From what I hear, my vibe reminded them of a writer who used to work on the show, so I think they were kind of rooting for me even before I auditioned for it. I just had to make sure I didn't suck.

Question: I see on your IMDb resume that you graduated from Yale with a degree in Theater Studies and Psychology. How does the Gilmore Girls portrayal of Yale differ from the real thing? —Ann, California

Michaels: Well, before I got this role I had only seen a couple of episodes of the show, so to be honest I'm not sure how it portrays Yale outside the Daily News. One thing I can tell you is that the set looks very accurate. The hallways look just like one of the main classroom buildings on campus, from the floors to the wood-paneled walls. Even the font used for the room numbers is exactly the same. Also, I suppose I met my fair share of Paris-type overachievers while I was there.

Double Duty

Oh, wow. Sorry for the lack of updates and posts. It's been crazy with my return to school...High School that is. I've just started my practicum for my junior year and I never knew all the prep and such that fixing up the school before kids returned would take so much out of a person. Anyway, I'm here with a double duty post of a little Milo update and GG spoiler.

First, let me just say how happy I am that Milo Ventimiglia isn't down for long. His stint on the short television show, Bedford Diaries, might have crashed but our boy wonder is too much like the American hero Superman -- he'll always bounce back. So without further a due, let me tell you all of his latest acting adventure. Milo stars in the upcoming Intelligence film, where "[he] carries the role of the ambitious, young reporter Collin Mather," who "follows a hot lead to tie up his feature story and reveal new graphic details found behind closed doors in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba." Sounds boring to me. But when I saw the preview, Milo more than holds my captivation. Check out YouTube for the clip and mark your calendars for a December release.

Lastly, GG spoiler time. According to Spoilerfix.com..."7.03 -- Lorelai's First Cotillion will have Lorelai and Rory go[ing] to the Gilmores. There they'll meet 10-year-old Charlotte, the granddaughter of Emily and Richard's friends. Charlotte acts a bit like she is the Gilmores' maid of the episode in order to make up for a class on table manners she missed the previous week. Charlotte, along with other young teenage girls, will attend a cotillion. As the title of the episode says, Lorelai will attend the event. At Yale, Paris supervises tutors who are helping students prep for the SATs. Rory acts as a tutor. Michel also appears." All I have to say to this is no more children, please! And that's in general.

Okay. Before I go, I'd like to add a general GG spoiler from Ask Ausiello. Ausiello tells us that Dave Rosenthal confirmed Wayne Wilcox's return, and by some mishap at Luke's Diner, Kirk will be led to open up his own eatery across the street. It appears then that Luke's gonna have lots of reasons to be pissed this season, which I totally think he deserves.

PLUS: Considering that Matt Czuchry is connected to Gilmore Girls, I thought I'd post some news about him here. According to Ausiello, "I just got a smokin' hot tip that Gilmore guy Matt Czuchry will cross over to Veronica Mars on Oct. 24 — but not as Logan Huntzberger. It's better. He's playing Charlie Stone — half brother to none other than Logan Echolls." Can't wait to see how that plays out.
